Dog Sitting FAQs

What services do you offer?

Drop-in visits and dog walking only — no boarding or overnight stays, at this time.

What days are you available for dog sitting & walking?

I’m available Monday through Friday for drop-in visits and dog walks. I typically take weekends off to spend time with my partner, Kevin, and our two pups, Willow and Charlie. That said, if weekend care is truly needed, feel free to ask — I’ll do my best to accommodate when possible.

Are you registered & insured?

Yes! Playful Paws NoCo is registered with the State of Colorado & insured for your peace of mind.

Do you require a signed contract?

Yes. For the safety of your pup(s) and clarity on policies, I do require all clients to sign an agreement before the first visit. I’ll bring a copy with me to our Meet & Greet, and if you’re comfortable and would like to move forward, we’ll go over it together and sign it in person.

How do I pay you?

Invoices are emailed weekly. Payments are due by the following Wednesday. Payment methods accepted: Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, cash, or check.

What if I need to cancel?

Call or text at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of a scheduled visit will be charged in full.

Do you walk dogs in bad weather?

I’ll always try to complete the visit, but I may shorten or reschedule walks for safety in storms or extreme heat/cold.

What if my dog needs emergency care?

If your dog appears injured or seriously ill, I will do everything I can to contact you first. However, if the situation is urgent and I believe immediate action is necessary, I will seek veterinary care right away to ensure your dog’s safety. You agree to cover any costs related to emergency treatment. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I’m able.

Dog Sitting Policies

Client Responsibilities:

  • Dogs must be up to date on rabies vaccine

  • No history of aggression

  • Notify me of changes in health, behavior, or travel

  • Provide all supplies (leash, collar, meds, etc.)

  • Provide home access (key, garage code, etc.)

  • Notify me if you’ll be home during my visit

  • Disclose any medical or behavioral concerns

Rates:

  • Drop-in visit (20–30 min): $19 + $3 per add’l dog

  • 20-min walk (30 min visit): $19 + $3 per add’l dog

  • 30-min walk (40 min visit): $25 + $3 per add’l dog

Payment Terms:

  • Visits billed weekly, by end of day Saturday

  • Payment due the following Wednesday

  • Cancellations within 24 hours are charged in full

  • Accepted payments: Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Cash, Check

Inclement Weather & Emergency Policy:

  • Visits may be shortened or rescheduled for safety during storms/extreme temps

  • Emergency vet care may be pursued at your expense

Liability Disclaimer:

  • Not responsible for injury, damage, or escapes caused by your pet

  • Clients are responsible for securing fences, doors, and gates

Behavior Clause:

  • Services may be refused or stopped if a pet shows aggression, excessive anxiety, or poses a safety risk
